Week 23: Summer so far

Life is super full. Last week was mostly good, with a little fever and fatigue thrown in (one day for Zach and two-ish for Gabe). We had a couple of play dates at friends' houses and a couple at our house...it was a busy week for hangin' with friends.

We took them to Barnes & Noble. Zach is interested in any puzzle/cube/game he can get his hands on.

At Chili's, looking up a toy that Gabe just saw at B&N on Amazon.

Charlotte is very interested in letters and numbers right now, and she actually wrote her first letter. A few times she wrote w's on the sidewalk and pointed them out to me saying "double." She also counts, and although 1-5 are a bit rough she says 6-11 really well.

Charlotte wants to spend more time up in the boys room, and lately the boys are actually happy about it.

I took Zach to the dentist on Wednesday to look at his tooth. I really didn't know that 45 minutes later we'd be walking out with it fixed. If we're careful about hard foods and avoid head injuries it should last for a while. He can get a crown when he's older.

Ah, tying shoes. In an effort to help the boys be self-sufficient in this area we are practicing every day (or every day that I remember). It happens right before tablet time, so they are motivated to do it and not waste time complaining.

We planted our tomato seedlings outside.
