2020 weeks 20 & 21: Cupcake fun

The last two weeks looked much the same as others lately, with all of us trying our best to entertain ourselves at home. I think we're doing a decent job. Charlotte had a cupcake decorating contest for her zoom meeting so the kids had fun with fondant for an afternoon. We had a drive-thru frozen lemonade treat event at the school; they got to say hi to some of their teachers again. The Boy Scouts gathered to place flags at our local cemetery, though they made us nervous with few wearing masks or social distancing. We've also had to say no to a play date and hitting the gym because we're not sure about things yet. I decided to let the kids use Messenger Kids to text/video with a handful of friends, but most of them have been minimally available so far. Frank is still working from home but will have to start going in soon, probably a day or two a week at first.
The boys (and sometimes Charlotte) play with the monkeys together every single day. They have so many adventures.
Somehow we managed to have a week of very few to-do's, and I played with my new cutter, stamps, paint, and other crafty stuff.

There's been renewed interest in using my phone for VR games. The images that follow are some screenshots from what the boys have been playing.

Charlotte won funniest cupcake for her heart-eyed sunshine.

We are keeping an eye on Zach's cactus and wondering if it will bloom like it did last summer.

2020 week 19: Haircuts etc

We're still doing our thing. Here's our random first week of May:
The kids are always playing, always creating something.
Running laps for gym class!
I'm still doing Zumba with my gals by video.
School science project involved balloon hoverboards.

Time at home's got us thinking more about our unfinished basement bathroom.
Before haircuts
Happy that the mask-wearing, wait-in-the-car, one-at-a-time experience is behind them, at least for six weeks or so.
Mother's Day!

My gifts! Charlotte was eager to take over when it came to cutting out paper with the Cameo.

2020 weeks 17 & 18: the end of April

We've been baking and biking, doing school work, skype calls, sewing, and scout meetings. We continue to have enough to keep us busy.
