December: many musical events and other holiday cheer

The beginning of the holiday season is a very musical time around here. Over the course of three days we had six performances, and then there were additional concerts in the middle of December. All of this happened while Gabe purchased and set up a drum set, Lisa purchased and set up an RV, and we celebrated Christmas and New Year's with family and friends.

At our town tree lighting. Zach performed with the jazz band and Charlotte sang with the elementary choir.

The following evening the high school band marched in a neighboring town winter parade.

Then the next morning they performed in our town's Christmas parade.

The middle school marched as well.

And then we went back over to the multi-day winter fest for Charlotte's choir to sing again.

We are very proud of all our musicians!

First time putting up the big tree with young cats.

Helping at the school Santa Shop.

The Girl Scout troop shopped for foster children.

Practicing almost every day.

They enjoyed going under the tree and did not mess too much.

Lisa arrived. Jazz holiday tunes at the library, on Frank's birthday.

Making cream puffs.

Percussion and Jazz concert (December is very full!)

We left when it was dark and got home when it was dark.

We went to Ohio to pick up the RV.

I don't think Charlotte even noticed we were on the road.

Middle school jazz/band concert.

Our last school Christmas party!

School's out! Time to sleep in the RV.

More cream puffs.

Lisa made us a delicious Christmas Eve meal and gluten free cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning.

We went to Abby's!

Raclette for New Year's Eve dinner...

...and a chocolate fountain for dessert.

We made it to midnight!

November, second half: our Thanksgiving trip

It was our first time flying and seeing this branch of the family tree for five whole years!
