2020 week 8: A full-ish week

Sunday: we saw Sonic the Hedgehog with friends.

Monday: there was no school for President's Day, but Charlotte and I went to a marathon girl scout meeting where she did a ton of activities related to nature, gardening, and conservation.

Thursday: after dance class Charlotte enjoyed her lollipop from Honeydukes at Universal. Now I'm wondering how long I have to leave it wrapped up in the pantry before she lets me get rid of it.

Friday: after finishing the over-800-page book 5, we had a Harry Potter pizza party (nuggets for Charlotte) and watched Order of the Phoenix. It only took us four months of bedtime stories!

Saturday: it was doing stuff around the house, getting groceries/cleaning/etc. We knew we'd have no time on Sunday.

Sunday: snow tubing with the Girl Scout troop (including more than a few Boy Scout brothers)! There was a limit of four people going down the hill together, but we did all sorts of combinations. Charlotte attempted to go on her own and was having a great time until her lightweight butt got stuck halfway down. It was about 50 degrees so it was only cool at the beginning before we'd started sweating. We didn't have to climb the hill, but there was still effort involved in staying balanced on the conveyor. Everyone thought it was super fun. At the end of a run Charlotte said "That was terrific! That was even better than terrific!" After our two hours were up, we got back in the car, drove the 75 miles back home and went almost straight to a Cub Scout swim/etc party. It was a very full day.

2020 weeks 3, 5, 6 & 7: Catching us up

Roughly a month in photos: my birthday, our first snow day, Zach camping, Gabe's pinewood derby and forever playing video games, Charlotte selling cookies and being creative, a trip to Barnes & Noble and Chili's, enjoying wine and fondue. We snap the photos and keep going, but looking at them again we're usually amazed at all the things we've done. We're enjoying the scout events, the video game/YouTube downtime, and the evenings snuggled up on the couch reading Harry Potter.
