2021: November

(*Insert recent month here*) was a very full month. It feels so repetitive to say that, but there really is no slowing down around here. November was full of the usual school, scouts, and medical stuff, with a little travel thrown in. Charlotte started her vaccinations, and Frank and I got boosters. She also had an MRI, and has told people her favorite part was figuring out how to drive a wheel chair in the waiting room. Charlotte and I joined the Girl Scout troop in singing and giving cards to the veterans at the VA hospital on Veterans Day. Frank and Gabe went on a snowy campout (with a stop at Bass Pro Shops). Charlotte participated in the annual third grade tribal fair, where she demonstrated her knowledge of Native American tribes and wore the same shirt her brothers did when they were her age. We celebrated Zach's birthday early at our house with a Reese's ice cream cake. At 14, he is officially as tall as me and Frank and started shaving! Then it was off to Jen's house for Thanksgiving. Zach liked helping with a lot of the food prep, and Jen enjoyed having the help of a taller kid! There was much playing Among us, Animal Crossing, Minecraft, trying out funny phone filters, and requesting silly songs on Alexa. We took family photos, watched one of the kids at his soccer game, and spent Zach's actual birthday at a trampoline park and Japanese steakhouse. It was a great celebration of him, and I think it topped any other time we've visited our friends on his birthday!
