There were some fun moments in February (back home after Disney), even though I continued to feel miserable due to a sinus infection for almost the entire month. I completed 365 days of Duolingo Japanese lessons (about 2-3 minutes each day). I traveled to visit Jen, and I did nothing but hang out, ride with her to drive kids, and watch the Super Bowl. It was a nice break even though I was sick. The next weekend Charlotte competed in the Pinewood Derby. She not only won in the Girl Scout group, she won fastest overall car among the kids. Frank has become the fast car expert, it seems.
Frank participated in fifth grade career day for the first time, and Charlotte was very excited about that. Then at the end of the month she and I stayed overnight at the Pittsburgh Zoo with Girl Scouts. We slept in a building that houses snakes, lizards, fish, bats, and a few other things. It has a big tree that is a slide. The girls did a night scavenger hunt and learned about the animals, then the next day we toured the zoo. We watched a penguin parade. It was all very fun, but it was a very cold weekend.
