May: second half

The last couple weeks of May included sealing our driveway (finally had good weather!), Girl Scout bridging, preparing for dance recital, movie night (Mario Bros), band playing at the high school graduation, Zach doing more cooking, flowers blooming, and I finished Charlotte's quilt! Also, no photo, but Zach found out that he made the jazz band next year!

Zach also attended a KISS tribute band concert at the park with some friends. They really enjoyed it, especially since they have started practicing for their music of KISS field show for next year.

May: first half

Time for getting the flower bed into shape, finishing up projects before school is out (if cats will stop laying on them), Mother's Day, and spring concerts. Oh, and throw in practicing driving with Zach. Life continues to be full, but we always manage to find time for Mexican food.

I have been learning Japanese for about 3 minutes a day. I have a long way to go!

April: second half (band trip)

Zach traveled with the band to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. It was four days of shows (watching and performing), Dollywood, Anakeesta, The Island, a waterpark hotel, and much more. I was surprised to get a call from him, just to say he'd ridden his first loop-de-loop coaster and was so excited. Also pictured: the band car wash, the cats being their crazy selves, the end of year band banquet, and Charlotte painting rocks and constructing items for a Junior Girl Scout Bronze Award project. When completed, they will have installed a kindness rock garden, a bee habitat, and a blessing box (like a free little library but for food) somewhere in our community.
