October

Last month was a wonderful band-tober to remember, because we had so many family members come to enjoy the band performances with us. We watched football games, parades, a competition, and a band spectacular. The band won Grand Champion for the competition, which included a parade and field show, and I chaperoned during that very long day. The seniors were on the field to accept the plaques and trophy.

In other news, Gabe turned l6. Charlotte had a band concert. And Zach (and other Boy Scouts) completed his Eagle Project of building and delivering benches to the same camping area where he did the landscaping. Halloween was celebrated on the 30th, and we followed Charlotte and her friend around the neighborhood on that chilly evening. On Friday the 31st the football team played its last regular season game, and the senior band members were recognized. The team remains undefeated and will go far in the upcoming playoffs, so the band is not finished yet.

September

All the September things:

Girl Scouts. Mini golf, ice cream, meetings focused on teamwork and developing relationships. Helping others by maintaining a blessings box at the local library.

Boy Scouts. Helping Zach with his Eagle Project of mulching trees and constructing benches for a campground and river access site.

Around the house. We sealed the driveway. Charlotte is into crochet and made a doll of a favorite character from scratch. Zach has poker nights with his friends.

Homecoming. Zach went with his big friend group, and Gabe took a date.

Band and more band. Pictured are a special last first home game for seniors tailgate, the middle school band performing at games, Homecoming parade, multiple games, a competition, and a show. To be continued next month...
