August

With band camp starting at the end of July, August felt like we were already back to school. It was very busy.

* We mapped out a possible new couch

* After two weeks of band camp, the parents were able to see the field show for the first time

* Charlotte went to middle school orientation

* She also had a friend come for a sleepover to celebrate her birthday

* Zach went on a campout

* First day of school! (Aug 19) Gabe is a high schooler!

* Charlotte and I camped in yurts with the Girl Scouts. There was a tour of a mill, making candles, a climbing wall, canoeing (Charlotte's first time), the girls playing games, campfire, etc. It was cool overnight, and Charlotte ended up in the bunk with me.

* Zach picked out new shoes

* Gabe tries to get selfies with the cats

* We celebrated Charlotte's 11th birthday

* Zach performed with the Jazz Band

* Gabe marched in his first parade with the High School Band

 

July

July was mostly a month of being home and hanging out. 

* Charlotte loves cooking shrimp

* Gabe likes to take morning walks

* We did sparklers and small fireworks on the driveway like usual

* Zach went to Boy Scout camp, and one of the badges he worked on was robotics

* We took care of our neighbors' cats

* Abby came to visit

* Zach got a guitar from his friend

* Charlotte started tumbling classes

* We went to Ikea and Guitar Center

* I helped with band uniform fittings, and the boys started band camp
