What happened in May 2024:

We celebrated Mother's Day early * Gabe made a cobbler and was celebrated with the other 8th graders at his band banquet dessert buffet * Beth visited Anna Maria Island with friends * Frank and the boys had a day out while Charlotte was on a Girl Scout overnight * she and her troop rode horses, completed an obstacle course, and saw the Northern Lights * Frank and the kids completed a yard project * the Girl Scouts had another horse-riding outing * Zach had a jazz band concert * he also went backpacking with the Boy Scouts * Charlotte had her 5th grade recognition day, bridged from Junior to Cadette in Girl Scouts, and celebrated the end of school with a water day with her classmates * she jumps off the diving board at the pool now * we drove to St. Louis * games and music were played * we played with cousins at Sky Zone * we took Gabe to Guitar Center * we went to a wedding!

 

April

There was a lot going on in April besides the total eclipse! 

During spring break the kids and I painted pottery. Charlotte went to a trampoline birthday party, and the kids continue to practice cooking every chance they get.

Frank and I had lunch (and a latte) at a new place. We also hit our brand new Menards and gave in to the boys' desire for small kitchen appliances.

Band was extra busy, with concerts for each school and the end of year high school banquet. I helped with multiple parts, including creating one of the videos that was shown.

The Boy Scouts went camping, and Charlotte and I had a girls weekend. Also, Charlotte and some of the other Girl Scouts were recognized for earning their Bronze Award. We attended a tea and toured a historic mansion.

June: Charlotte's recital

Charlotte's tap class performed their "Connect Four" number as part of the production "Family Game Night." It was a long show but a fun theme.
