Meet George and Jasmine. He's the orange and white, and she's the brown/orange tabby. These siblings were rescued by a family in our Girl Scout troop and given to us when they were about six weeks old. They were still drinking from bottles and not using a litter box, but that changed within about a week of being with us. They are super curious and cuddly. After two weeks of keeping them in a fenced in area, they now have the run of the moderately-cat-proofed living room. They are not scratching furniture or climbing up the curtains yet, but we know it's coming! Right now they like to sleep a lot (especially on the couch), wrestle with each other, and get picked up by/lay on people for snuggles. They are completely lovable and everything we could ask for in new pets.

Rounding out April
During the second half of last month the main events were spring break/Easter and Frank and Zach's first backpacking weekend. Spring break was pretty relaxed, with a late start to spring lawn care, coloring eggs, and Charlotte living her best life at Ikea. Gabe got his braces on (no pic yet), and Charlotte and I checked on our new tulips daily. Frank and Zach hiked 15 miles with only what they could carry, and they are becoming real pros at it. While they were gone, Charlotte followed my lead on spring decluttering and was sorting everything she could think of (and donating/discarding some of it). She and I were supposed to go on a Girl Scout overnight trip with the Brownies but she woke up with a fever, so the plan was scrapped. We roasted our own s'mores that night.

Spring and stuff
Zach really wanted us to play Monopoly over the last three-day weekend. The boys got annoyed that Charlotte would not make dodgy deals with them. Frank ended up winning with Charlotte in second.
Early April = pink fluffy tree. Some years the blooms disappear within a couple days but this year they lasted awhile.
I helped chaperone Charlotte's class going to Chemistry Day at the high school.
