The trip part 1: Las Vegas

Busy. Tired. Captions (hopefully) coming soon.

The plane rides were mostly good. They were either playing with tablets and toys, or they were completely conked out.

Zach took many great photos this trip.

He was so excited to photograph out the airplane windows.

Shopping on Saturday morning with the gang in Vegas.

Zach chose a bear as his souvenir from Las Vegas. His name is Vegas Bear, of course.

Gabe loves his R2-D2 Pez dispenser.

Lunch out. Zach is a big fan of restaurants with peanuts.

Zach was pretty much excited about everything. Especially getting to see Blue Man Group.

Another outing was the children's museum.

The funniest thing was that all three kids had the most fun in the toddler room.

At Bellagio.

Heading to Paris.

Easiest place to let a toddler run free in Vegas? The observation deck of the Eiffel Tower. (We were lucky that it wasn't very crowded.)

Zach, after the first of two songs with the fountain show: "That's it?!?"

More swimming. And keeping Charlotte in the shallow part of the pool.

Date night at one of our favorite restaurants.

Taken with my phone right after Miss Wake-up Call handed it to me.

At Mandalay Bay.

Pressed pennies.

Heading to Santa Fe. The sun was just starting to come up over Lake Mead.

Week 28: Sunshine and rainbows

It's been another rainy week, with lots of playing and creativity around here. Drawing, painting, coloring, and building tents, along with all the tablet time they can get. Apparently it was Brown Monkey's birthday, who is a girl monkey if you didn't know. Lots of comedy and less drama, as everyone seemed to calm down a bit, and we're looking forward to what's planned for the rest of our summer. And blocking the TV with the pack 'n' play seems to be working! (the rainbow painting and the minecraft drawing are both by Gabe)

Week 27: Our own show

From last week we've got the boys and their artwork (photographed as part a school-papers clean-out session), our flowers are blooming, we had a playdate at the playground, Frank grilled porksteaks, we may have a bell pepper growing, and we put on our own fireworks show in the front yard. The boys were so excited, and Charlotte was sound asleep at that point. It was a good three-day weekend!
